Abandoned Stereo Floral Radiograph

I wanted to X-ray through the layers
To see the core of your ghost.
I wanted to press through your flesh
To the worry inside the bone.
But I’ve spent my time in the darkroom
Manipulating images that melt in time;
Nothing so processed has developed in the light.

Keep my glasses on your nightstand.
I want your image to blur above me.
Know me with your fingertips
And let my lips know you love me.

Let our bodies in motion
Roll faster than film can snap.
I can feel your heat, even at top speed
When I can only catch you in a glance.
